GILMER -- Services for Ella Mae Philen, 71, of Gilmer, will be 10 a.m. 
Monday, November 6, 2006, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with 
the Rev. James Young officiating. Interment will be in Enon Cemetery 
in Upshur County. Ms. Philen died November 2, 2006, at her residence. 
Born February 12, 1935, in Upshur County, she was a retired secretary 
for Tyler Steel, a lifetime resident of Upshur County and a member of 
Cherokee Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Adams; 
son, Mark Philen; brothers, Royce Skipper and Marion Edwards; and 
sisters, Norma Jones, Geneva Kerr and Valle Dee Carmichael. Visitation 
will be 6-8 p.m. today, November 5, 2006, at the funeral home.
