Pickitt, Katherine   	 

GILMER - Services for Katherine Pickitt, 64, of St. Louis, Missouri, will 
be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2007, at First United Methodist 
Church in Gilmer, with the Revened Ken Calhoun officiating. Burial will 
follow in Sunset Memorial Park of Gilmer.

Mrs. Pickitt died Thursday, June 21, 2007, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. 
Louis, Missouri.

She was born November 16, 1942, in Providence, Rhode Island, to the late 
Leonard and Katherine Davidson Pickitt, while her father was serving in the 
United States Navy. She grew up and attended primary and high school in the 
family hometown of Gilmer.

After graduating in 1965 with a B.A. from the University of Houston, she 
worked first as a buyer at Foley's Department store before joining AT&T. 
Kathy retired from SBC/AT&T in 2005 as director, audit services for the 
eastern half of the United States after 36 years with the company.

She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, John Leonard and Mary Kay 
Pickitt; niece, Patricia Farmer; nephew, John O. Pickitt; great-nieces and 
great-nephews; cousins; and innumerable professional and personal friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Susan G. Koman for

2890 Mitchell Dr., Walnut Creek, CA 94598.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. this evening, June 27, 2007, 
at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
