Poole, Alma W. 


GILMER -- Services for Alma W. Poole, 80, of Gilmer, will be 
held 2 p.m. Saturday, September 9, 2006, at Pleasant Hill 
Cemetery in Upshur County, with the Reverend T.C. Weatherby 
officiating. Mrs. Poole died Thursday, September 7, 2006, in 
Gilmer. She was born April 7, 1926, in Grand Saline, to Jimmie 
Allen Morgan and Vada Morgan. A resident of Upshur County most 
of her life, she was employed with Sears until her retirement. 
She was a member of New Hopewell Baptist Church. She was 
preceded in death by her brothers, Billy, Earnest Ray, Ralph, 
and Jimmy Morgan. She is survived by her husband, Richard Poole 
of Gilmer; four sons, Bruce Allen Poole of Washington, D.C., 
Richard Barry Poole of Big Sandy, Danny Wilson Poole of Arlington, 
and Jerry Don Poole of Big Sandy; two brothers, Johnny Morgan and 
Bobby Morgan, both of Canton; sister, Peggy Priddy of Tyler; nine 
grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6-8 
p.m. Friday evening, September 8, 2006, at Croley Funeral Home of 
Gilmer.
