Pope, Franklin D.

GILMER -- Services for Franklin D. Pope, 63, of Gilmer, 
will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2007, at East 
Springfield Baptist Church, with Pastor Herndon 
officiating. Burial will follow in East Springfield 
Cemetery. Arrangements are by Turner Bros. Mortuary. Mr. 
Pope died January 26, 2007, in Longview. Born June 7, 
1943, in Longview, he was a lifetime Upshur County 
resident and a Baptist. Survivors include his son, 
Franklin Pope; daughters, Doris Thompson, Barbara Johnson 
and Brenda Allen Jackson; brothers, Willie Pope and S.P. 
Pope; and sisters, Elzadia Walker. Visitation will be 3-7 
p.m. Friday, February 2, 2007, at the funeral home.
