Porter, Ronnie L. GLADEWATER -- Graveside services for Ronnie L. Porter, 62, of Longview, will be 2 p.m. Thursday, October 26, 2006, at Union Grove Cemetery, with the Reverend Dick Lindsay officiating. Mr. Porter was born September 11, 1944, in Pasadena, Texas, to Roy Wilford and Laura Davis Porter. He was an industrial plumber for Newton Mechanical Services and a member of Berean Baptist Church in Greggton. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Pearl Staner formerly of Baytown, Jean Heart formerly of Longview, and Roydell Tomlinson formerly of Iredell; and brothers, Barney Porter formerly of Llano, and Alvin Porter formerly of Longview. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Hutto Porter of Longview; sons, Jason Clint Porter of Las Vegas, Nev., and Ronnie Dean Porter of Waco; daughters, Janet Keith of Longview, Kimberly Darlene Porter of Waco, Joyce Ann Porter of Hillsboro, and Robin Hess of Houston; sisters, Marion Nelson and Hattie Owens, both of Longview; brothers, Eugene Porter of Kilgore, and Willie Porter of Las Vegas, Nev.; and numerous grandchildren.
