GILMER — Services for William Howard Pratt, 86, of Gilmer 
will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Croley Funeral Home in 
Gilmer. Interment will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in 
Upshur County. Visitation is 6 - 8 p.m. today at the 
funeral home. Mr. Pratt, a Methodist, died Saturday, Sept. 
21, 2002 in Shreveport. He was born April 12, 1916. 

Mr. Pratt is survived by his wife, Evelyn Wilson Pratt of 
Gilmer; his son, Bobby Ray Pratt of Shreveport; his daughter, 
Bettie Mangum of Shreveport; his sister, Ila Thigpen of 
Gilmer; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. 

Mr. Pratt was preceded in death by a son, Wilson Henry Pratt 
in 1993; by a daughter, Sylvia Jo Young in 1999; and by a 
sister, Olga Tutt. 

Mr. Pratt was a Gilmer resident since 1981 and retired from 
the Sunshine Biscuit Co. as a route salesman. He also served 
in the U.S. Army during World War II. 

Pallbearers will be Clay Young, Blaine Pratt, Matt Mangum, 
Jed Conklin, Leo Sakhvoruk, and Shawn Hurd.
