GILMER — Services for Zelma Price, 95, of Gilmer are set for 
Monday, July 29, 2002, at 10 a.m. at Perryville Baptist Church 
with Brother Marion Coon officiating. Burial will follow in 
Perryville in Upshur County. Arrangements are under the 
direction of Croley Funeral Home of Gilmer. Mrs. Price died 
Thursday, July 26, 2002, in Tyler. 

She was born Sept. 29, 1906, in Bowie County and was a member 
of Perryville Baptist Church. She had resided in the area since 
1947. She was a teacher. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter C. Price; one 
son, J.D. Roach; one stepson, Weldon Price; two brothers, M.S. 
Thomas and Bernard Durham; one grandson, Weldon Price; and one 
sister, Nona Durham. She is survived by one daughter, Codell 
Bass of Gilmer; one stepson, Ray Price of Mount Pleasant; six 
sisters, Helen McKinney of Arlington, Thema Lawing, Novell 
Bowers, Reba Barrett, all of Simms, Bernice Whitecotton of New 
Boston and Nita Cain of Rockwall; eight grandchildren; 15 
great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. 

Pallbearers will be David Bass, John Bass, Zachary Bass, Billy 
Bass Jr., Tommy Clement and Don Earl.
