GLADEWATER MEMORIAL PARK - UPSHUR COUNTY


Services for Catherine Maudell Parker, 87, of Kilgore, Texas, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore with the Reverends Bill Richardson and James Logan officiating. Mrs. Parker passed away Sunday, January 16, 2011 in Kilgore.

Mrs. Parker was born September 25, 1923 in Cleveland, Tennessee, daughter of the late Troy and Delia Henderson. 

Catherine was a faithful member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Kilgore. Mrs. Parker was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and shopping. Mrs. Parker was a wonderful cook and enjoyed preparing meals for family and friends. She will be missed by all of the loving family and friends she leaves behind.

Mrs. Parker is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Sandra and Bluford Waits of Liberty City; son and daughter-in-law Dale and Leann Parker of Liberty City; five grandchildren Greg Waits, Jeff Waits, Lee Parker, Bobby Edmondson and Christie Casillas; nine great grandchildren Misty Waits Rivers, Logan Edmondson, Lane Edmondson, Braden Edmondson, Mason Edmondson, Bobby Lynn Goss, Meghan Goss, Kade Evans and Rori Bigos as well as nieces, a nephew and many other loving family and friends.

Mrs. Parker is preceded in death by her husband Alvin Parker and great granddaughter Brittney Nicole Goss.
