CONCORD CEMETERY - WOOD COUNTY


QUITMAN - Graveside services for Harmon F. Powell, 91, Quitman, are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Concord Cemetery, Quitman, with Del Ussery officiating under direction of Lowe Funeral Home.

Mr. Powell died Dec. 14, 2008, in Quitman.

He was born June 19, 1917, in Winnsboro. He was a longtime resident of Wood County. He was a member of the Church of Christ, was a mechanic and veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Lena E. Powell, Quitman; sons, James Powell, Tyler, Gene Powell, Ronnie Powell, Mike Powell and Ivey Jones, all of Quitman, Danny Jones, Cameron, Mo., and Morris Gary, Golden; daughters, Joyce Box, Quitman, and Glenda Hill, Palestine; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
