GLADEWATER - Services for Matthew L. Purdy, 19, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, December 18, 2008, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater, with Leward J. LaFleur officiating. Burial will be in Gladewater Memorial Park. Mr. Purdy died December 12, 2008, in Big Sandy.

Born March 22, 1989, in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, he was a Baptist and was employed by Allied Waste company. 

Survivors include his wife, Hailiey Purdy; parents, Marvin and Susan Purdy; brother, Ryan Purdy; and sisters, Brandi Purdy, Heidi Purdy and Heather Figley.
