Richardson, Joan Davis   	

GILMER- Graveside services for Joan Davis Richardson, 79, of Gilmer, will be 10 a.m. 
Tuesday, October 23, 2007, at Old East Mountain Cemetery in Upshur County with Gene 
Davis officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in 
Gilmer. Mrs. Richardson passed away Saturday, October 20, at a Longview hospital.

Mrs. Richardson was born March 20, 1928, in Commerce, Texas, to William Cary and Lula 
Mae Davis. She was retired from the state of Texas, having worked in the accounting 
division in Austin. She graduated valedictorian from White Oak High School, attended 
Kilgore College and graduated from The University of Texas.

Mrs. Richardson is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Michael Elwyn Richardson 
of Seattle, Washington, and James Randall and Cecelia Richardson of Ore City; brother 
and sister-in-law, Coy and Ruth Davis of Gilmer, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, 
Wayne and Glenda Riley of Gilmer; sisters-in-law, Katherine Richardson Leigh and Delle 
Richardson Stevenson; grandchildren, Jamie Rae Richardson, Sierra Richardson, Michael 
Elton Richardson; nephew, Coy Eugene and Janice Davis; and niece, Vicki Lou and Jan 
Jester.

She was preceded in death by her parents, W.C. "Cary" and Lula Hill Davis; brother, 
W.C. Davis Jr.; sister, Marilyn Davis; and daughter-in-law, Barbara Richardson.

Visitation will be 7-8 p.m. today, October 22, 2007, at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
