Richey, James Delony GILMER -- Services for James Delony Richey, 80, of Gilmer, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2006, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer, Texas, with Paul Witt and Allen Tolliver officiating. Burial will be in the Mattox Cemetery of Upshur County. Mr. Richey passed away Sunday, January 29, 2006, in Shreveport, La. Mr. Richey was born June 27, 1925, in Alexandria, La., to Lee and Aliene Delony Richey. He was an owner/operator truck driver. He served with honor and pride during World War II in the U.S. Air Force 368th Bomb Squad during the European Theatre in France from 1944 to 1946. He loved his Graceton Church of Christ family, ranching, and his grandchildren with a passion. Mr. Richey is survived by his wife, Marylin D. Richey of Gilmer; son, Brad Richey of Galveston; son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Kim Doyle of Cleveland, N.C.; daughter, Wanda Richey of Diana; daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte Babette and Michael Henson of Longview; brother and sister-in-law, Lee and Louise Richey of Shreveport, La.; 10 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Michael Henson, Greg Doyle, Delton Richey, Jeff Shelton, Jacky Franklin, Johnny Franklin, Brad Franklin, Johnny "Tinker" Shelton, and Pete Cole.
