GILMER - Services for Devon Roberts, 74, of Gilmer, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, 
December 13, 2007, at Frontier Church of Northeast Texas, with the Reverend Holland 
Atchley and Bill Youngkin officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Oak Cemetery of 
Upshur County, under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.

Mr. Roberts passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2007, in Gilmer.

He was born October 11, 1933, in Pittsburg, to T.C. and Dura Leona Parish Roberts. 
Mr. Roberts served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Texas Eastman and was a Realtor 
for East Texas Realty.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Lavonna Howell.

Mr. Roberts is survived by his wife, Sue Roberts of Gilmer; sons and daughters-in-
law, Ray and Laura Roberts of Gilmer, and Tim and Elance Roberts of Leesburg; 
daughters and sons-in-law, Sharron and Marcus Steelman of Gilmer, and Elaine and 
Curtis Hart of Gilmer; brothers and sisters-in-law, Hunter Roberts of Mesquite, 
Arville and Salonge Roberts of Baton Rouge, La., and Glenn and Sharon Roberts of 
Tennessee Colony; Donald and Bobbye Roberts of Sulphur Springs; sisters and 
brothers-in-law, Melba and Cecil Hefley of Dekalb, Janie and Silas Durham of 
Midland, and Alice and Charles Newton of Carthage; sister-in-law, Frances Watson 
of Marshall; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

The family requests memorial donations to be made to Frontier Church of Northeast 
Texas, 2791 F.M. 593, Gilmer, TX 75644; or Cypress Basin Hospice, P.O. Box 544, 
Mount Pleasant, TX 75456.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday evening, December 12, 2007, at the 
funeral home.
