Rogers, John R.   	

Services for John R. Rogers, 69, of Gilmer, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 20, 2007, 
at the Welch Funeral Home Chapel, 4619 Judson Road. Burial will follow in Eagle Creek 
Cemetery.

Mr. Rogers passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2007, at a local medical center.

Mr. Rogers was born August 15, 1938, in Tatum, to Marshall and Adell Capps Rogers. He was 
a Catholic.

Survivors include wife, Janie Rogers of Gilmer; son, Kenneth Monk of Gladewater; brother 
and sisters-in-law, Calvin and Norma Atkison, and Ruth Atkinson, all of Texas City; 
grandchildren, Jonathan, Kimberly, Mandy and Micheal; special niece, Laurie Ramsey and 
spouse, Donald; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 519 E. Cotton St., Longview, 
TX 75601.

The family will receive friends at 6 p.m. this evening, October 19, 2007, at the funeral 
home.
