Memorial services for Charles Edward Ramsey, Sr., 75, of Gilmer, Texas will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater, Texas with Masonic Rites and Military Honors being conferred. Mr. Ramsey passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 in Gilmer, Texas. 

Charles Edward Ramsey, Sr. was born to Robert and Myrtle Ramsey on June 13, 1940 in Gladewater, Texas. He was a Petroleum Engineer and a Veteran of the United States Navy, serving in Vietnam. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge # 852 in Gladewater.

Mr. Ramsey is survived by his sons: Charles Edward Ramsey and wife, Penny; Jeff Ramsey and wife, Dr. Ariadna Bory; daughter, Angela Michelle Dees and husband, Greg; sisters, Jerri Brown and Peggy McLendon as well as nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Charles was ushered into glory and the eternal fellowship of his parents and two brothers, Kenneth and Jimmy Ramsey who preceded him in death.
