Sanov, Seymour Joseph GLADEWATER -- Services for Seymour Joseph Sanov, 79, of Gladewater, will be 10 a.m. Monday, April 17, 2006, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rabbi Heidi Cortez and Larry W. Osborne officiating. Burial will be in Kilgore City Cemetery. Born May 30, 1926, in Chicago, Illinois, he entered eternal rest on Saturday, April 15, 2006. He was a 1943 graduate of Gladewater High School, a 1947 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, and a 1950 graduate of the University of Texas School of Pharmacy. On November 11, 1961, he married Joyce Cayton. A 50-year registered pharmacist, he was a member of the Gladewater Lion's Club and the Gladewater Chamber of Commerce. He was a sports correspondent for "The Gladewater Mirror" for many years. A member of Longview Temple Emanu-El, was was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the board of directors. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Joyce Sanov of Gladewater; two daughters, Felicia Sanov of Houston, and Carla Serres of Humble; three sons and daughters-in-law, Phillip Sanov of Houston, Ronald and Liz Sanov of Jamestown, North Carolina, and Jack and Joanne Serres of Houston; 12 grandchildren; one sister, Lorraine Felsen of Longview; one niece; and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Grace Sanov, and his grandson, Austin Sanov. Pallbearers will be Phillip Sanov, Ronald Sanov, Charles Valdetero, Leon Watson, Jack Serres and John Paul Tallent. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Gladewater Lion's Club.
