L O Shockey Obit Contributed by: Merry G Smith Ex-Commissioner L.O.Shockey Dropped Dead March 6, 1931 On the sidewalk on the West Side of the Square at 2:15 Friday Afternoon. Mr. L. O. Shockey of Stamps, dropped dead on the sidewalk in front of Hogg's Pharmacy at 2:15 Friday afternoon. He had just been in the bowling alley next door and said he felt bad, and walked out and fell dead, presumably with heart failure. He is survived by a wife and six children, and one brother, Mr. R. V. Shockey, who was formerly constable of this precinct. His remains were carried to the Croley Undertaking establishment where they were prepared for burial. Mr. Shockey was a good citizen, esteemed by all who knew him and his sudden death will cause a wave of sorrow all over the county.
