Smith, David P. 


GLADEWATER -- Graveside services, with full military honors, 
for David P. Smith, 58, of Big Sandy, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, 
July 15, 2006, at Chilton Cemetery Pavilion in Big Sandy, with 
Pastor Sonny Parsons officiating. Arrangements are by Croley 
Funeral Home of Gladewater. Mr. Smith died July 12, 2006, in 
Tyler. Born October 31, 1947, in Calhoun, Ga., he was a U.S. 
Army veteran, homebuilder, member of New Beginnings Church, 
and former city councilman and mayor of Big Sandy. Survivors 
include his wife, Linda Moll Smith; sons, Shane Andrew Fuquea 
Smith, Rory Michael David Smith, and Rafferty Joseph Strahan 
Smith; sisters, JoAnn Tower, Linda Smith, Betty Dancker, Sue 
Baxley, and Judy Page; and brothers, Bill Smith, Jerry Smith, 
Jack Smith, and Steve Smith. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today 
at the funeral home.
