Snow, James Edward GILMER -- Services for James Edward Snow, 95, of Pritchett, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2006, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer, with Dr. David Jenkins and the Rev. David Thornton officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Upshur County. Mr. Snow passed away Saturday, October 21, 2006, at a Gilmer nursing home. Mr. Snow was born September 7, 1911, in the Shady Grove community to Park Lee and Attie Caffey Snow. He was a retired farmer, lifelong resident of Upshur County and a member of the New Hope Baptist Church at Big Sandy. Mr. Snow is survived by wife, Ruth Snow of Pritchett; one son and daughter-in-law, Neil and Wanda Snow of Pritchett; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jan and Tommy Ray of Longview, and Pat and Tom Long of Pritchett; six grandchildren and spouses, April and Chet Haynes, Mark and Debbie Snow, Sharon and Bo Prince, Kim and Doug Lewis, Todd and Carmen Snow, and Chris and Juliet Ray; and 27 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Attie and Park Snow; three brothers, Dell, Farnum and Sam; and one sister, Novelle Heller. Pallbearers will be Chet Haynes, Mark Snow, Bo Prince, Doug Lewis, Todd Snow and Chris Ray.
