W.M. (WILL) STEELMAN Gilmer Mirror, February 1966 Submitted by: Lea Ann Tedford Funeral services for W. M. (Will) Steelman, 67, will be at 3pm Friday at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Dewayne Turner and Rev. C. A. West officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park with Croley Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Steelman, a lifelong resident of Upshur County, died at 10:30 am Thursday at a Gilmer Hospital after a brief illness. He was a retired oil field worker and a veteran of World War I. He was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Grace Steelman; two sons, Huel Dean Steelman of Gilmer and Billy Gene Steelman of Gilmer; two daughrers, Mrs. Betty Lynn Preston of Longview and mrs. Patsy Glynn Swanner of Gilmer; two brothers, Pete Steelman of Rosewood and Hubert Steelman of Kelsey; four sisters, Mrs. Olie Davis of Dallas, mrs. Lois Evans, Mrs. Annie Brown and Miss Orene Steelman all of Oklahoma; and eight grandchildren.
