Stegall, Mary Knotts 


GILMER -- Services for Mary Knotts Stegall, 84, of Gilmer, will be 10 a.m. 
Monday, June 12, 2006, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 
Gilmer, with Bishop Grayson Child officiating. Interment will be in Sunset 
Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral 
Home in Gilmer. Mrs. Stegall passed away Thursday, June 8, 2006, at a local 
nursing home in Gilmer. Mrs. Stegall was born March 31, 1922, in Stark City, 
Missouri, to David and Loretta Knotts. She was a homemaker and a member of the 
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Gilmer I Ward. Mrs. Stegall was 
preceded in death by her husband, Willa Stegall; son, Ronald Stegall; brother, 
Robert Knotts; and great-granddaughter, Kailey Gee. Mrs. Stegall is survived by 
her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Ann Stegall of Tyler; daughters and 
sons-in-law, Sharie and Darrell Jobe of Gilmer, and Terry and Elwyn Ward of 
Gilmer; brother, David Knotts of Longview; sister, Charlene Craighead of Athens; 
14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Richard Ward, 
Wesley Ward, Jeff Ward, Gary Ward, Dan Lindsey, and Jonathan Jobe. Visitation 
will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, June 11, 2006, at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer.
