Stephens, Margaret Lucille "Wright" Margaret Lucille "Wright" Stephens was born July 31, 1916, in Glenmora, La., to James and Ava Wright. At the age of 16, she accepted Christ and joined the First Baptist Church in Vidor, Texas. Margaret grew as a Christian, rejoined the church, and was rebaptized in the summer of 1941. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Gilmer, Texas. She was married to Sherman Stephens on April 13, 1940. She worked as a hairdresser for 25 years, served in all Eastern Star offices many times, and had a passion for knitting, crocheting, and reading. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman Stephens. She is survived by her daughter and husband, Judi and Don Bethard of Gilmer, Texas; son and wife, Sherman and June Stephens of Longview, Texas; grandson and wife, Trey and Jennifer Stephens of Forney, Texas; granddaughter and husband, Brandi and Chris Barlow of White Oak, Texas; granddaughter, Mandy Bethard of Roanoke, Texas; great-grandchildren, Kyli Parz, Kyle Stephens, Sean Stephens, Joshua Stephens, Bren Stephens, Haley Barlow, and Blake Barlow; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2006, at First Baptist Church in Gilmer. Memorial donations may be made to The Children's Shriner Memorial Hospital.
