Snow, Ruth GILMER - Services for Ruth Snow, 93, of Gilmer, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 25, 2007, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer, with Dr. David Jenkins and the Reverend David Thornton officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery of Upshur County, Texas. Mrs. Snow died on Thursday, August 23, 2007, in Gilmer. She was born December 3, 1913, in Gilmer, Texas, to Albert and Lilly Davis Johnson. Mrs. Snow was a homemaker and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Edward Snow, in 2006; and a sister, Maxine Averett, in 2007. Mrs. Snow is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Neil and Wanda Snow of Pritchett; daughters and sons-in-law, Jan and Tommy Ray of Longview, and Pat and Tom Long of Pritchett; sisters, Lorene Borders of Longview, and Grace Helen Harkins of Dallas; six grandchildren and their spouses, April and Chet Haynes, Mark and Debbie Snow, Sharon and Bo Prince, Kim and Doug Lewis, Todd and Carmen Snow, and Chris and Juliet Ray; and 27 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Chet Haynes, Mark Snow, Bo Prince, Doug Lewis, Todd Snow and Chris Ray. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. this evening, August 24, 2007, at Croley Funeral Home.
