Funeral services for John C. Spencer, Jr., 77, of Gilmer were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 29, at the Gilmer Church of Christ with John Richard Spencer, Jay Spencer, and Steve Hemphill officiating. 

Burial was at Sunset Memorial Park under the direction of Croley Funeral Home. 

Mr. Spencer died Wednesday, Sept. 27, in Longview.
