Sustaire, Gerald GILMER -- Graveside services for Gerald Sustaire, 70, of Gilmer, will be 2 p.m. today, November 20, 2006, at Sunset Memorial Park, with Dwight Brannon officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home of Gilmer. Mr. Sustaire passed away Sunday, November 19, at a Tyler hospice from complications following a stroke. He was born July 26, 1936, in Upshur County, to Dap and Lona Sustaire, who preceded him in death. He married the former Glenda Coppedge and she survives him. He was a graduate of Union Grove High School and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Gilmer. He was a longtime member of the Gilmer Oddfellows Lodge and served in all offices of the lodge. He worked in the construction business and later worked for Gilmer Potteries as its maintenance supervisor. In addition to his wife, Glenda, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Barbara Sustaire of Allen, Texas; and his daughter and son-in-law, Misti and David Weisinger of Gilmer. He is also survived by the "loves of his life," his grandchildren, Summer Weisinger Glaze and her husband, John, of Houston, Brandon Weisinger of Gilmer, and Shaynee Sustaire and Michael Sustaire of Allen, Texas. He is also survived by his sister, Rita Wilkins of Gilmer; his mother-in-law, Mildred Coppedge of Gilmer; and a number of nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Mike Sustaire; and his brothers, Rusty and Donnie Sustaire. Pallbearers will be H.L. Hartgraves, Tom Morris, Cleon Jones, Dale Hefner, Paul Goolsby, David Loftis, Dwight Brannon and Frank Breazeale. There will be no formal visitation.
