SUNSET MEMORIAL PARK - UPSHUR COUNTY Funeral services for Jack Edward Stauss, 79, of Longview will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, December 8, 2014 at Woodland Hills Baptist Church, Longview with the Reverends Charles Hunt and Kason Kuykendall officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Gilmer under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. He passed away Saturday morning, December 6, in a Longview hospital. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Stauss was born March 25, 1935 in San Antonio to Albert and Martha Stauss. He was a graduate of San Antonio Technical High School. Mr. Stauss worked for Wyatts Industries in Dallas, and moved to Longview in 1968 to work for Marathon LeTourneau, retiring after 30 years of service. He was an active member of Woodland Hills Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 51 years, Shirley Thomas Stauss; sons, Tracey G. Stauss and friend, Kathy Stone, and Thomas A. Stauss and wife Monica; sister, Paulina Nemeth of San Antonio; brother, William A. Stauss of Stone Mountain, Georgia; sisters-in-law, Sylvia Thomas Trussell and Sue Thomas Brown and husband, Raymond; grandchildren, Whitney Stauss Maglott and husband Mark, William Bodhi Stauss and Britney Stauss; and numerous nieces and nephews.
