Taylor, Harold Dean   

A memorial service for Harold Dean Taylor, 74, of Gladewater, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, August 26, 2006, at Northwood Baptist Church on Tryon Road in Longview, with the Rev. Ron Peacock officiating. Arrangements for cremation are by East Texas Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Taylor was born April 11, 1932, in Adams, Tenn., to John Joseph Taylor and Mary Ella Unger Taylor. He passed away August 21, 2006, at a local hospital. Mr. Taylor served in the U.S. Army. He was an entrepreneur with enterprises as an import business, insurance, and car transporting. Mr. Taylor had been a Longview resident for three years, moving here from Grand Prairie. Harold was an avid fisherman and hunter. Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Holt Taylor in 2006; his parents; one brother; and three sisters. Survivors include his sons, Harold Richard Taylor of Gladewater, and Larry Wayne Taylor of Lake Oneida, N.Y.; daughter, Lisa Gail Taylor-Cobb of Grand Prairie; sister, Helen Bennett of Greenville, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
