UPSHUR COUNTY - OAK HILL CEMETERY

Funeral services for Mrs. Chrystelle “Chris” Thomas, 85, of Gilmer will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Bro Charles Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Upshur County. Mrs. Thomas passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2015, in Gilmer.

She was born on October 2, 1929, in Upshur County, to Hurshall W. and Omah Delana Flowers Waller. Mrs. Thomas was the head cashier at J. Weingarten supermarket before her retirement.

She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Anne Conner of Austin; brother, Lloyd Eugene Waller and wife, Sue of Perryville; granddaughter; Chris Anne Boman and husband, Gary Gordon of Austin; great granddaughter, Marissa Anne Southern and husband, Chris of Austin; great-grandson, Justin Wayne Dyal of Houston; great great grandson, Grayson Neal Southern; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family who she thought of and loved very much.

Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Robert H. Thomas; brothers, G.B and Thomas Waller.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 26 from 1:00 pm until time of service.
