Tipton, Iris Pearl 


GILMER -- Graveside services for Iris Pearl Tipton, 82, of Hawkins, 
are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, July 6, 2006, at Hoover Cemetery, 
with Dave Havir officiating, under the direction of Croley Funeral 
Home of Gilmer. Mrs. Tipton died Monday, July 3, 2006, in Tyler. Mrs. 
Tipton was born October 14, 1923, in Ranger, to Daniel and Pearl 
Boatwright. She married Andrew Chesley Tipton on December 25, 1939, 
in Olden. She is survived by her husband, Chesley Tipton of Hawkins; 
sons, Dan Tipton of Big Sandy, and Tom Tipton of Tyler; daughter, Joy 
Garbs of Hawkins; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. 
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday evening, July 5, 2006.
