Treadwell, William A. "Bill" DIANA -- Services for Bill Treadwell, 81, of Ore City, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, August 26, 2006, at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home Chapel of Diana, with the Rev. Craig Evers officiating. Interment will be in Smyrna Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. Mr. Treadwell passed away August 24, 2006, in Diana. Bill was born May 2, 1925, in James, to Charles Franklin and Jenny Pearl Treadwell. Mr. Treadwell was a retired iron worker, a Baptist, and a member of the Ashland Masonic Lodge. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gracie Mae Treadwell; his parents; and his sister, Jacqueline Woody. Mr. Treadwell is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Mabel and J.C. King, Melba Sallee, Billie and Kenny Edwards, and Willie and Jimmy Knabenshue; grandchildren, Candis and James Phillips, Jay and Andrea King, William and Missy Sallee, Josey Sallee, John Sallee, Kellie Edwards, Kendra Edwards, Jessica and Michael Garcia, and James Knabenshue; great-grandchildren, Nicole and Austin Phillips, Remington King, Alivia Garcia, and Brandy, Elishia, Taylor, and Summer Massey; brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Jean Treadwell; best friend and companion, Christine Mattis; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Pallbearers will be Jimmy and James Knabenshue, Kenny Edwards, Michael Garcia, William Sallee, and John Sallee. Honorary pallbearers will be J.C. and Jay King, James Phillips, Larry Sharp, Charlie Treadwell, Dean Burrell, and Ed Greenway.
