Turner, Charles M. GILMER -- Services for Charles M. Turner, 91, of Gilmer, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2007, at Gilmer Church of Christ, with Bob Turner and Jeff Procter officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park of Gilmer. Mr. Turner passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2007, in Gilmer. Mr. Turner was born July 1, 1915, in Princeton, Texas, to Charles Robert Turner and Fanny Dee McCraw Turner. He was a retired food inspector for the State of Texas and a retired Church of Christ minister. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Turner. Mr. Turner is survived by his son, Bob Turner of Tyler; daughter, Beth Riddle of Plano; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Richard Jones, Eddie Coleman, Clint Owens, Perry Cowan, Rex Morris and Steve Riddle. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2007, at the funeral home.
