Big Sandy Rites Held for John Varner, 87

Funeral services were held in the Baptist Church here Sunday for 
John Varner, 87, one of Big Sandy's oldest residents. Burial was 
in Chilton Cemetery.

Varner died Friday at the home of a son, Clarence Varner, in Smith 
County. He also is survived by a daughter and two other sons.
