Wisdom, Jesse George MARSHALL -- Graveside services for Jesse George Wisdom, 84, of Gladewater, will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, September 30, 2006, at Concord Cemetery in Jonesville, with the Rev. Dick Sawyer officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Sullivan-Heaster Funeral Home in Marshall. Mr. Wisdom passed away September 26, 2006, in Longview. Mr. Wisdom was born January 22, 1922, in Leigh, to Anaphlous Homer and Dosia Barnes Wisdom. He served in the United States Air Force from 1942-1946, during World War II. He married Clara Jean Jett on February 27, 1985, in Texarkana, Ark. Mr. Wisdom was a truck driver for an oil company. He loved hunting and fishing. Mr. Wisdom was preceded in death by his parents, Anaphlous Homer and Dosia Barnes Wisdom; six brothers; and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Clara Jean Wisdom of Gladewater; sons, Jesse George Wisdom Jr. and Kenneth Wesley Wisdom; daughters and son-in-law, Darla Sue Robinson, Barbara Jean and Haskell Faulknor, and Tina Hood; stepsons and daughters-in-law, Robert Jr. and Vicki Lawson and Dennis and Brenda Lawson; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sister and brother-in-law, Lula Giles "Bobbie" and Fred Stephens. Honorary pallbearers will be the VFW Post No. 4002 of Longview. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Select Specialty Care Group at Good Shepherd Medical Center, the staffs at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview, and the Legend Oaks Nursing Home in Gladewater.
