GILMER - Services for Don Wallace, 71, of Gilmer, will be held at 
2 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2008, at First United Methodist Church 
in Gilmer, with the Reverend Kenneth Calhoun and the Reverend Ferel 
Little officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park of 
Gilmer.
Mr. Wallace passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2008, in Longview.
He was born March 2, 1936, in Gilmer, to Lee Andrew Wallace and Ruby 
Kathrine Mc-Spadden Wallace.
Mr. Wallace lived several years in Pittsburg before moving to Corpus 
Christi. He graduated from Miller High School and served in the U.S. 
Army and U.S. Air Force. He married Betty Ann Richardson on April 29, 
1961, in Gilmer and was a technician for Holbart Foods before his 
retirement. Mr. Wallace was a member of First United Methodist Church 
in Gilmer, Methodist Men, DAV, East Texas Woodcarvers and The Texas 
Woodcarvers.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Wallace is survived by his wife of 46 years, Betty of Gilmer; son, 
Andrew C. Wallace of Dallas; daughter, Ledonna A. Wallace of Houston; 
and sister, Dortha Lavetta Wallace of Rotan.
Pallbearers will be Shannon Key, Glen Richardson, Lynn Davis, James 
Wallace, Bill High and Sonny Monk.
Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, 
105 N. Montgomery, Gilmer, TX 75644; or to the DAV Upshur County Post 
No. 204, c/o Mabry Dugger, 1436 Mora Dr., Gilmer, TX 75644.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday evening, January 6, 2008, at 
the funeral home.
