Funeral services for Rev Jurice Wright, 81, of Valley View 
were held Saturday, May 4, at 11 am at Valley View Baptist 
Church with rev Dr Sammie Davis, Rev H P Alford and Rev 
L C Johnson officiating.  Burial was in Valley View Cemetery.
Rev Wright died at his home in Gilmer.  

He was a lifetime resident of Upshur County.  He was a member 
of the Valley View Baptist Church.

Surviving are one son, Robert Wright of Oakland, CA; four 
daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Webster of Gilmer, Mrs. Connie Mae 
Jones of Oakland, CA, Mrs. Elevenia Floyd of Gilmer, and Molee 
Saulsberry of Oakland; four brothers, Rev B B Wright of Gilmer, 
Thomas Wright of San Diego, CA, William H Wright of Bakersfield, 
CA; two sisters, Mrs. Alberto Wright and Mrs. Pauline Thomas, 
both of Dallas.

Pallbearers were deacons of the church and honorary pallbearers 
were his brother and grandsons.  Turner Bros handled the 
arrangements.
