PLEASANT HILL CEMETERY - UPSHUR COUNTY

Services for Larry Franklin Williams,61, of Shreveport, La. will be Monday, April 13, 2015 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater, Texas, at 2:00 P.M., with Reverend J. Gary Boswell of Shreveport officiating. Larry passed on Wednesday, April 8, 2015.

Larry was born to Leslie Williams and Mary Juergens-Williams on August 27, 1953 in Gilmer, Texas. He graduated from Union Grove High School in 1972 going on to Louisiana Tech University and the University of Texas. He was a teacher in the Caddo/Bossier schools and served on the Board.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Viva K. Williams; brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Gail Williams; uncle, John and wife Winnie Juergens; aunts: Betty Ann Wood, Ellen Lane and husband, Harold, Dorothy Wedgeworth and husband, Jamie; cousins, Vicky Cavaness, John Juergens, Jr., Steven Juergens, Gary R. Williams and Martha; one niece, Emily Williams.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents.

Serving as pallbearers will be Gary R. Williams, Greg Williams, David Wood, Jamie Wedgeworth. Honorary pallbearers are the Union Grove Class of 1972.

Interment will follow the service at Pleasant Hill Cemetery and visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at 1:00 P.M at the funeral home.
