Graveside services for Donald Merlin Yale, 82, of Gladewater, Texas, will be held at Hoover Cemetery in Big Sandy on Thursday, September 17, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Dan Friz officiating. Donald passed away on Friday, September 11, 2015, in Longview, Texas.

Donald Merlin Yale was born to Albert Merlin and Mildred Hotelan Yale on May 15, 1933, in Sayre, Pennsylvania. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was married to Velma Chamberlain Yale.

He is survived by his wife, Velma Yale of Gladewater; son, Martin L. Yale and wife, Janie of Hawkins; daughter, Brenda Jean Stow and husband, Robin of Gladewater; brothers, Richard Yale of East Smithfield, Pennsylvania and Raymon Yale and wife, Patricia, of Ulster, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mr. Yale was preceded in death by his parents.

No formal visitation is scheduled.
