Sharon Swayne Pierce

Sharon was County Coordinator for 6 years and her passion for genealogy was fierce. She worked passionately on Upshur County TXGenWeb to make it the best she possibly could. She is greatly missed by many.  Sharon gave countless hours gathering information, typing, walking/transcribing cemeteries, taking photographs, answering queries, and doing anything she could to help make the Upshur County TXGenWeb site as informative and helpful to researchers as possible.

Obit

Memorial services for Sharon Pierce, 63, Gladewater, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday at Abundant Life Church, Bro. Mike McGuire officiated. She was born Nov. 15, 1946. Mrs. Pierce died Sept. 9, 2010.

Survivors include her son of Gladewater; three daughters; brother of Gladewater; sister of California; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services were under direction of Croley Funeral Home, Gladewater, TX.
