GLADEWATER MEMORIAL PARK - UPSHUR COUNTY


Services for Era I. Alexander, 91, of Gladewater, Texas, will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Tim Price and Reverend Thomas Ainsworth officiating and Lewis Price assisting. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 P.M. and interment will follow in Gladewater Memorial Park. The services are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home. Mrs. Alexander passed away in Paris, Texas, on Sunday, July 12, 2015.

Era Alexander was born to John Arch and Johnnie Ola Pritchett in Gilmer, Texas, on March 14, 1924. She worked for G.T.E as a network analyzer until she retired. She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church.

Mrs. Alexander is survived by four grandchildren, Cindy Crawford and husband, Nathan; Scotty Williams and wife, Sharon; Carla Cheshire and husband, Cary; and Fonda Price and husband, Tim; six great-grandchildren, Joanna Williams, Caleb Cheshire, Blake Price, Corbin Cheshire, Jonathan Crawford, and Chantry Cheshire; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two daughters, Lena Marie Williams and Latricia May Alexander as well as nine siblings.

Pallbearers will be Paul Cummings, James Andrews, Nathan Crawford, Jonathan Crawford, Scotty Williams, and Larry Williams.
