Gilmer -- No services are planned for Johnny Harvey Arnold, 73, of Gilmer. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer.

Born on December 6, 1941, in Springfield, Ohio, he died on Wednesday, March 18, 2015. He was a painter and a member of Cherokee Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Arnold of Gilmer; two sons, Ulysses H. Arnold and wife, Tiffany, and Danny L. Arnold, all of Gilmer; one daughter, Nelda Tudon of Booker; eleven grandchildren, Kim Clark, Jennifer Evans, Brianna Tudon, Eddie Arnold, Braden Arnold, Eli Arnold, Griffin Arnold, Jep Arnold, Mackenzie Arnold, Whitney Arnold, and Mike Shipley; nine great-grandchildren; and brother, Jimmy Arnold and his wife, Jo Ann of Paluxy, Mississippi.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Nell Tomplay Arnold, and his son, Johnny Ray Arnold.

No visitation is scheduled.
