UPSHUR COUNTY - GLADEWATER MEMORIAL PARK

Graveside services for Joe Allen Bower, 68, of Gladewater, will be held at Gladewater Memorial Park at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2015, with Pastor David Dusek officiating. Mr. Bower passed away on Friday, September 4, 2015, in Gladewater. Services are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater, Texas.

Joe Allen Bower was born to Joe Verne and Jane Elizabeth Fancher Bower on November 8, 1946, in Garrison, Texas. He retired from Motion Industries where he worked in Industrial sales. He was also a Vietnam veteran proudly serving in the Marine Corps. He and his wife, Kathy, were residents of Gladewater and sweethearts for 46 years.

Mr. Bower is survived by his wife, Kathy Bower of Gladewater; sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Celia Bower of White Oak, Gregory Bower and fiancé Trish Franta of Crosby, Texas, and Timothy and Becky Bower of Union Grove; sisters, Sue Abbot of Waco and Debbie Johns and husband, Leroy of Union Grove; grandchildren, Whitley, Collin Carson, Matthew, Dakota, and Maddison Bower; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be at Croley Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
