UPSHUR COUNTY - GLADEWATER MEMORIAL PARK

Services for Loyce Joy Carpenter, 86, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater, Texas, with Larry W. Osborne officiating. Interment to follow in Gladewater Memorial Park. Mrs. Carpenter died on Sunday, August, 2, 2015, in a Longview hospital.

Loyce Joy Carpenter was born in Gladewater, Texas, to Hollys Jewel and Florence Rebecca Davis on February 24, 1929. She was a homemaker and a lifetime resident of Gladewater.

Mrs. Carpenter is survived by her daughter, Janis Wallace of Gladewater; three grandchildren and their spouses, Richard and Valerie Wallace, Raymond and Teresa Wallace, and Patrick and Stephaney Wallace all of Gladewater; ten great-grandchildren, Andrew Wallace, Trevor Lewis, Marissa Wallace, Derek Wallace, Carmen Wallace, Lil Raymond Wallace, Lyndsey Wallace, Trenton Wallace, Mason Wallace, and Steffan Wallace.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy D. Carpenter; her parents; and her favorite son-in-law, Charles Wallace.

Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Borsch, Michael Borsch II, Jerry Wilson, Andrew Wallace, Trevor Lewis and Charles Vaughn Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater, Texas.
