Funeral services for Oscar Henry Goodson, Jr. 62 of Galveston, will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday November 12, 2014, at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer, with Bro. Mark Huffhines officiating. Interment will follow at East Mountain Cemetery in Upshur County. Mr. Goodson passed away Friday, November 7, 2014 in Beaumont.

He was born February 12, 1952, in Houston, Texas to Oscar Henry Goodson, Sr. and Iva Lee Wade Goodson. Mr. Goodson served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He married Paula Callaway in July, 2014 in Galveston, Texas. Mr. Goodson was an engineer for GE and a member of Church of Power in Upshur County.

He is survived by his wife, Paula Goodson of Galveston; sons, Michael Goodson, Joshua D. Goodson, Wesley Collier and Jared Bailey; daughters, Lacey Goodson, Teresa Reed Goodson and Jamie Andrews; brother, Freddie Goodson; sisters, Vee Goodson and Doris Fuqua; grandchildren, Kellie E. Goodson, Joshua M. Maze, Jaiden M. Maze, Dallis G. Goodson, Brandon Collier, Addyson Collier, Robert Andrews and Ryan Andrews and one great grandchild, Brantley S. Holse.

Mr. Goodson, Jr. was preceded in death by his parents.
