CHILTON CEMETERY - UPSHUR COUNTY

Graveside services for William Boyd Gorman, Jr., 87, of Big Sandy, Texas, will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at 10:00 A.M., with Brother Richard Mooney officiating at Chilton Cemetery. “Buddy” passed on Saturday, June 6, 2015 in Tyler. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the cemetery. Services are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater, Texas.

William was born to William Boyd Gorman, Sr. and Lucy Dell Gorman on March 13, 1928 in Big Sandy, Texas. He worked for Carrier, was a member of the NRA, and served in the US Army Air Corps and the USAF.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Gorman of Big Sandy; daughters, Mary Lingle and her husband, Richard, Brenda Murrell and husband, Joe; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mr. Gorman is preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Edward Gorman and sister, Mary Jane Stooksberry.
