Jerome Gordon Hopewell 
(November 17, 1937 - February 9, 2015) 

Mr. Jerome Gordon Hopewell, 77, of Gilmer passed away on February 9, 2015, in Gilmer. He was born on November 17, 1937 in Hazen ND to Harry Hopewell and Helen Kephart Hopewell.

On June 5, 1965, in Tujunga, CA. he married Melody Sue Turner. Mr. Hopewell was a self-employed Baker and Handyman.

He is survived by his wife, Melody Sue Hopewell of Gilmer; sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Joan Hopewell of Pickens, SC, Jason and Vida Hopewell of Gatesville, TX.; daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Thomas Powell of Gilmer; brother, Elsworth Hopewell of Lakeside, CA.; nine grandchildren, Katelynn Hopewell, Jesse Hopewell, Justin Hopewell, Jay Hinojosa, Derrick Hinojosa, Errick Hinojosa, Justin Hinojosa, Jacob Powell, Rachel Powell; ten great grandchildren; also numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Hopewell was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Victor, Kenneth, Marvin and Burnett Hopewell and one sister, Edna Mae Glover.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
