December 15, 1924 - September 11, 2009 Longview News-Journal September 13, 2009 Services for Don Pendleton, 84, of White Oak, will be 2 p.m. Monday, September 14, 2009, at East Mountain Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dick Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow in East Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Pendleton passed away Friday morning at his home in White Oak. The family will receive friends this afternoon from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home. Don was born December 15, 1924, in Marietta, Oklahoma, to Rube and Margaret Pendleton. He attended school in New London and was a survivor of the 1937 school explosion. Mr. Pendleton proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was retired from Exxon Production Co., where he worked for 37 years. He was married to the love of his life, Marie Pendleton, for 54 years. Don was a longtime member of East Mountain Baptist Church and an avid crappie fisherman. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Marie; children and their spouses, Rory and Penne Pendleton, Angela and Wes Sherlock, Diane and Larry Wilson and Emily and Michael SanRoman; grandchildren and their spouses, Brian and Natalie Pendleton, Brooke and Chris Miller, Wes and Alexis Pate, Chaes and Carol Pate, Wade and Jacqueline Pate, Meredith and Matt French, Conner and Kristin Wilson, Faith Pendleton, Cydni SanRoman and Noah SanRoman; and great-grandchildren, Alli Wilson, Peyton Wilson, Piper Pendleton and two more arriving soon.
