GLADEWATER MEMORIAL PARK - UPSHUR COUNTY


Funeral Mass for Heinz Richter, 62, of Gladewater will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Gladewater with the Rev. Henry Linz officiating.
Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at Stone-Goodwin Funeral Home, Gladewater.

Mr. Richter died Wednesday in a Longview hospital after a brief illness.

He was born August 23, 1928 in Berlin, East Germany.

He had been a resident of Gladewater since moving from Phoenix, Arizona, in 1978. He was a tool and die maker and a master machinist with Atlas Machine Shop in White Oak, Texas. Heinz was a Lutheran.

Survivors include wife, Helen; sons, John of Gladewater and Leonard of Longview and aunt, Ilse De Gerolano of Caldwell, N.J.

Heinz was a funny, caring and kind man who would give you the shirt off of his back or a hot can of beer from his car trunk. Miss you Heinz...RIP
