Memorial services for JoAnn Stocks, 81, of Gilmer will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer, Texas with Pastor Clay Potter officiating. Mrs. Stocks died Saturday, September 12, 2015 at her residence.

JoAnn was born on January 18, 1934, in Cedar Springs, TX to William and Ruth Freeman. She graduated from New Diana High School, and the University of Texas at Tyler. She retired as the Chief Adult Probation Officer for Upshur and Marion Counties Probation Departments. She enjoyed being surrounded by her family, and loved spending the summers in Colorado with her husband Glen and their friends.

JoAnn was preceded in death by Glen Stocks, her loving husband of 63 years.

She is survived by her sister, Mary Hale of Carrolton, TX and Jean Dunaway of Ore City, TX. JoAnn had four beloved children; daughters, Susan Echols and husband, Grady, Jan Cross and husband, Jim; sons, Michael Stocks and wife, Jennifer and David Stocks and wife, DeLois; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
