GLADEWATER MEMORIAL PARK - UPSHUR COUNTY

Gladewater ~ Graveside services for Adrian M. Woods will be held Saturday, May 2, 2015, at 2:00 P.M. at Gladewater Memorial Park with Elder David Orban officiating. Services are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater, Texas.

Adrian M. Woods, 91, of Kilgore, Texas, was born April 18, 1924 in Pendleton, Oregon, and passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015, in a Longview hospital. He had proudly volunteered and served in the U.S. Navy from 1942 -1945. Most of his career he worked at Texas Eastman Chemical from 1958 until his retirement in 1991. He was married to Marie Woods, and together they lived most of their married lives in Kilgore, Texas. He was a faithful member and deacon of Grace Communion International Church. He loved to bowl and did so often until a stroke left him incapacitated.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 70 years, Marie Woods; son-in-law Lynn Newsom of Baytown; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Dr. James Lynn and Tonya Newsom of Brownsboro; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Thelma Renee and Greg Kipe of Baytown, and great-grandchildren, Madison and Victoria Newsom, Lauren Childs, and Evelyn Kipe.

Mr. Woods was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Ruby Newsom, and his siblings.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 1, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home.
