Mary J Hoewll was born 1843 in Missouri.  She first married Jaspe McBee about 1861, likely in Arkansas where their daughter Margaret Clementine "Clemmie" McBee was born.  They had another daugher Julia Ann who died in infancy in 1865.  About this same time, Jasper McBee died and both are buried at Springhill Cemetery in Bowie County, Texas where they had settled in 1864.  Mary Howell McBee married a second time about 1866 to John H McCrary, eldest son of Sials McCrary.  They had 7 children:
1. Gedeon, died in infancy
2. Susie F married Chris Fromm
3. Jennie married William S Gay
4. Silas M married Mary Johnson
5. Eva L married Robert Gay
6. LaVerne M married William S Gay
7. John B married Estelle Cowen
Mary J McCrary died in 1888 and John H McCrary died in 1899.  All of this family except for John B are buried at Springhill Cemetery.

Josephine "Josie" Howell was born about 1860 in Franklin County.  She married Louis Marlow there in 1879.  Their son Gideon Marlow was born in Arkansas in 1883.  Then Louis Marlow brought his family to Bowie County, Texas after their daughter Flora was born in 1885.  "Josie" died after Flora's birth and was buried at Springhill Cemetery.  Louis Marlow then married in 1889 to Allie Elizabeth McCrary, daughter of Francis McCrary (youngest brother of John H McCrary who married Josie's older sister, Mary J Howell) and Nancy J Fox.

Josie's children, Gideon and Flora Marlow, are shown in 1900 census in Bowie County, Texas with their father, Louis Marlow.  Gideon is shown with father in 1910 census in Marshall County, Arkansas as age 25 and single.  Flora is not shown.
